THE MITZVAH PLANNING PROCESS

To help select your vendors, we provide you direction based on the look, feel and budget that you envision.  Then, after you meet with and hire your vendors, our role is to step in and tie all the details together.

 

As part of our Mitzvah planning, we guide you through four crucial meetings, so that we can organize and run your celebration seamlessly.

Four Key Meetings During the Planning Process

  • Itinerary Meeting: Meeting with you to coordinate all aspects of the weekend. From this meeting we develop a customized, detailed timeline for the flow of the weekend and coordinate the load-in schedule with all the vendors. We will also provide a master vendor contact sheet and custom family email.
  • Logistics: Together we meet with the venue or caterer to discuss the set up needs and details for the celebration.
  • Décor Walk Through/Centerpiece Showing: We invite the florist or décor company to bring in a centerpiece and determine all related tabletop and décor items.
  • Entertainment: We join you to meet with the DJ or entertainment to discuss timing and set up of the space to ensure everyone is aligned.

 

Your priority: be there for your son or daughter and leave the details to us.  

ADDITIONAL SERVICES

These services are available as add-ons to the Mitzvah package.

FOODWORTHY

Through a menu selection meeting we will collaborate with the venue’s Chef and catering manager to create a custom-designed menu that reflect your family’s style.  Additionally, we attend the tasting to document all food and menu specifics to ensure the venue’s Banquet Event Order is accurate. Lastly, we help to coordinate logistics and the menu for the Kiddush luncheon.

PARTIAL DESIGN

We brainstorm with you to develop design concepts and create a design mood board that captures the theme of the event. From there, we will make recommendations for vendors who are associated with the design (invitations, décor, florist, lighting and linens). The Partial Design package is created for parents who feel comfortable meeting with design vendors on their own, using guidance and direction from us. Following your meetings, we will review of final concepts that your vendors have assembled to ensure all the elements have been considered and are coordinated.

FULL DESIGN

After we brainstorm design concepts and develop a mood board, we will make recommendations, schedule and attend all meetings with vendors who are associated with the design of the event (invitations, décor, florist, lighting and linens) to create a memorable theme, carried out seamlessly across all the elements. By being involved in every step, we can 1) create new ideas during vendor meetings, 2) troubleshoot and resolve challenges early in the process, and 3) help ensure you’re getting the most value based on your direction and priorities.

BUDGET

Let us help you prioritize your decisions and get the best value by developing a custom budget at the start of planning process.  With budget tracking assistance throughout planning, we will provide reminders when payments are due and take the stress out of budget management.
